Take eye breaks: Throughout the day, give your eyes a break by forcing them to focus on something other than on your screen . hold a finger a few inch in front of your face ; focus on the finger as you slowlymove it away;focus on something far in the distanceand then back to finger; slowly bring the finger back towards your face . then, sift your focus to something farther than eight feet away and hold your eyes there for few seconds .repeat this exercise three times, several times a day.

Change the pace: Try to stand upand move around at least once every hour or so. if possible lean back and close your eyes for a few second.at the very least, tryto give yourselfa five minute rest every hour. do other work such as phone calls, filling etc.

Blink often to refresh your eyes: Many people blink less than normal when working at a computer. Dry eyes can result from prolonged computer use . Blinking produces tears that can help moisten and lubricate your eyes.

Practice relaxationand ease muscle tension: Place your elebowson your desk, palms facing up;Let your weight fallforward and your head fall into your hands; Let the eyebrows rest on base of your palms with your fingers extended towards your forhead;close your eyes and take a deep breath;Hold 4 seconds then exale. Continue deep breathing for 15 to 30 seconds. repeat.

Get appropriate eyewear:Use good quality sunglass to protect your eyes from the harmful u.v rays.

Change In Your Workstation Schedule

Adust your monitor: position your monitor directlyinfront of you, about 20 to 28inches from your eyes. increase the font size if required .keep the top of your screen at eye level or below, so that you look down silghtly while at work.if its too high or too low , it can lead to a sore neck if you wear  bifocals or trifocals,you may have atendency totilt your head backwards so that you can see the lower portion of your glasses. for this, consider lowering your  monitor a few inches or buy glasses designed your computer work.

Position your keyboard properly:Place your keyboard directly infront of your monitor.if you place it at an angle or to side ,your eyes have to focus at diffrent distances from the screen , starining your eyes.

Keep refrence materialsnearby: Place reading and reference material on a document holder beside your monitpr and at the same level, angle and distance from your monitor and at the same level, angle  youreyes distance from your eyes as the monitor is from your eyes. this way your eyes aren’t constantly readjusting.

Check  the lighting and reduce glare:Bright light and too much glare makes it difficult to see objects on the screen , staraining the eyes. to check glare avoid placing your monitor directly in front of a window or white wall. use glare reducing screen . adjust the contrast and brightness on the monitor to a comfortable level. wipe the dust on the computer screen regularly.
